Parent Link

     Last year the Athens Area School District has implemented a new service that will directly benefit parents and students as well as the Faculty and Staff within the district. Parent Link is an automated phone dialing system that will allow district staff and administrators to record messages that will then be automatically sent to all relevant parties district wide. Special events can be preceded with a phone-call reminder from the principal a day or two before they happen. Snow delays or cancellations can be broadcast to all parents, faculty, staff and bus contractors by the superintendent within minutes of a decision being made. Should the unthinkable occur and an emergency situation arise within the district, Administration will be able to notify every parent within moments of the status and provide them with necessary instructions should action be required.
